Bakgrunn / Background

Dette er starten på ei ny og felles side for runefontane Gullhornet og Gullskoen. Her kjem etter kvart meir informasjon om dei to fontane, og særleg om forholdet til Unicode (der 81 runeteikn fekk plass i versjon 3.0 i 2000).

This is the start of a new page for the runic fonts Gullhornet and Gullskoen. More information about these fonts will be added here in due course, especially on the relationship to the Unicode Standard (in which 81 runic characters were added in version 3.0 in 2000).

Fontsider / Font pages

Merk at dei noverande versjonane av Gullhornet og Gullskoen (til liks med det store fleirtalet av tilgjengelege runefontar) ikkje er Unicode-konforme. Dei kan brukast saman med Unicode-konforme fontar, men tekst skriven i Gullhornet og Gullskoen kan ikkje overførast til ein Unicode-konform font utan ein omfattande søk-og-erstatt-prosedyre.

Please note that Gullhornet and Gullskoen (as almost any other runic fonts) are not Unicode conformant. They can be used along with Unicode conformant fonts, but text written in Gullhornet and Gullskoen can only be converted to a Unicode conformant font after a complete search-and-replace procedure.
